Expansion tank (or reservoir)

The expansion tank is used as a supply chamber for the brake fluid and can therefore compensate for possible volume fluctuations in the brake system and, if relevant, also in the clutch system. These occur during actuation and release of the brake or clutch pedal, during temperature fluctuations, if the pads are worn and during brake control functions. The expansion tank is closed with a screw connection, which enables air pressure compensation. The expansion tank is equipped with a fluid level warning device. There is a connection option for a hydraulic clutch system.

The expansion tank can be designed in different ways and in different sizes according to the specified requirements.
